When asked the question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” my answer was easy — everything. I wanted to be an astrophysicist, a firefighter, a neurosurgeon, an archeologist, an Air Force pilot, a pirate, a Hobbit, a Jedi, a witch (I’m still holding out hope for that one). It took an embarrassingly long time for me to realize that most of my dream jobs were born out of whatever media I was consuming at the time. I soon realized that if I couldn’t live in the worlds of my books, television shows, and movies, surely the next best thing was to write them.
Since that discovery, I have written numerous screenplays and four SFF novels. In my day job, I am the managing editor of the newspaper the Vermont Standard based in Woodstock, Vermont. The Standard is New England’s oldest weekly newspaper and has won numerous New England Newspaper of the Year awards.
Before moving to Vermont, I lived in Colorado and adapted novels into mobile games. My Bachelor’s degree is in Film with a specialization in Screenwriting from Central Washington University. My Master’s is in Professional Writing from Falmouth University, based in Cornwall. Several of my screenplays achieved high honors in various industry competitions, including the semifinals of the PAGE Awards.
I have lived in every region of the U.S. and in the U.K. The only thing I love more than my fandoms is my dog — a 14-year-old chiweenie I rescued because she had the same name as a character in one of my screenplays.

Adult Fantasy, Coming early Summer 2026
For as long as anyone can remember, alkhemy has come in cycles. Every twenty-five years, the blood of a select few ignite with the Alkhemical Flame and wonder ensues. But then the quarter century passes and the little miracles brewed from the blood of alkhemists… vanish.
Ambitious alkhemist Danika Bodanson is one of five proud Kotov siblings, but she has always been different. She is the first Celestial Alkhemist in her family, the first to leave the Kotov Isles to study in Sivka, and the first and only to be stricken by a wasting disease known as the Swimming Sickness. Potions and tinctures have kept its effects at bay, but in less than a year, alkhemy will disappear, taking her hopes and health with it.
Danika will do anything to stop it.
So when a handsome and mysterious stranger arrives on the Isles, offering all she desires and more, Danika quickly falls for his charms. Adrik Solov claims to be the lost heir to the Sivkan throne and vows to help Danika retain her powers — if she convinces her people to join his revolution against the current Imperator, who slaughtered his entire family.
But as the end of the magical cycle approaches, and Danika learns that Adrik is not all that he seems, she is forced to choose between her desire for the Stone and the fate of her nation, her family, even her own heart.
